Overview

Livingston Stone National Fish Hatchery was established in 1997 and located at the base of Shasta Dam. Livingston Stone National Fish Hatchery is the only hatchery in the world that raises listed winter-run Chinook salmon, which is Federally listed as an endangered species. It is also the site of one of two Captive Broodstock programs for threatened Delta Smelt in the state of California.
