Overview

The Berkshire National Fish Hatchery raises lake trout for restoring this valuable recreational fishery in Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The hatchery also raises native brook trout for public youth fishing events, and educational and outreach programs, and for stocking local rivers in Massachusetts for fishing. Open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except major holidays. A visit to a National Fish Hatchery and provided activities are free to visitors unless noted otherwise.
