Duck Swamp Interpretive Area

Overview
This 81-acre oxbow lake and marsh is a cut-off meander of the Bighorn River. Visitors can hike a one-mile interpretive and educational loop overlooking the wetland to view and learn about its many residents: song birds, great blue herons, hawks, owls, dabbling ducks, kingfishers, muskrats, mink, beaver and others. The area is about three miles north of Worland on Wyoming State Highway 433. Drinking water, restrooms, car and bus parking, barbecue, and covered picnic tables are available for day-use.
