Jackson National Fish Hatchery

Overview
Jackson National Fish Hatchery, located on the National Elk Refuge, produces native Snake River Cutthroat trout for Federal water projects, States and Tribes in western Wyoming and eastern Idaho. The hatchery’s Sleeping Indian Pond is a great place for the entire family to experience angling, and during the summer months fishing rods may be borrowed with the proper license and bait. The pond also attracts a variety of birds year round. Volunteers are available between Memorial Day and Labor Day for tours and assistance.
