The Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Smithsonian's national museum of Asian art, are located on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The galleries offer one of the Western world's most refined collections of Asian art and the finest collection of paintings by James McNeill Whistler. Hours and Admission Hours are from 10am to 5:30pm every day except Dec. 25, and admission is free. Accessibilty Handicap accessible entrance to the Freer Gallery is located on Independence Avenue at 12th Street, SW.
