Overview

Overview The Portneuf Gap River Access is a BLM managed river access with a boat ramp and parking area for non-motorized boat use (i.e. kayaks, canoes, and float tubes) along the Portneuf River Water Trail, which extends to Pocatello. This section of river is approximately 8 miles long with multiple other access points along the way managed by the City of Pocatello. The first 4.8 miles being intended for Intermediate skill level with numerous small rapids as well as low overhanging tree branches. The remaining 3.2 miles is classified as a Beginner skill level.
